How To Create A Post For Global Express
The Global Express display page on the site is using a module called Views to programmatically display a collection of posts under a content type (or type of post) called 'Global Express'.
This means if I create a new GE post, it is automatically added in the said collection (no need to insert manually).
- To create a Global Express post, go to Admin > Content > Add Content > Global Express
- Enter the title of the Global Express post e.g. Global Express DEC 2018
- We can work on the English version first, so leave Language as English
- Global Express posts usually do not have contents in the body section of the post, so it's okay to skip the body section.
- Click the 'Choose File' button under Attachment label to upload the Global Express file (usually in pdf) from your local computer.
- Miscellaneous Settings
For Global Express, we can leave the following items at their default setting
- Menu Settings
- URL path settings
- Revison Information
- Authoring Information
- Promotion Settings
- Click Publish or click Save as Draft depending on what you need
- If you clicked publish, navigate to the Global Express page (http://dev.global-reachout.org/news/global-express-newsletter) to check if the new post has been added to the list.
