Dear brothers and sisters, peace be to everyone! In the previous episode, I shared on the topic, ‘Does God exist?’ God’s existence is not determined by our decision that He exists. On the contrary, our existence is determined by His decision for us to exist. God is not the outcome of our imagination. He is God because from the beginning, He is God. Just like my father is my dad because originally, he is my father; the fact that he is my father is not the figment of my imagination.

Last week we heard how God gave Kate two wonderful children, Jonathan and David, despite the odds stacked against her. We also heard the terrifying story of how David was infected with viral encephalitis while in Hong Kong.

Are we ready to die? How should we live our lives, knowing that life is so brief and fragile?

To the outside world, David looked to be in a coma – as if asleep. Today we hear what David experienced, from his point of view.

Welcome listeners to the 9th session of our series on New Testament Survey. We have covered the epistles of Paul in the previous two talks. In this and the next session, we shall introduce the epistles of the other New Testament writers. Each of them have something significant to contribute to our faith. As an introduction, there are 8 epistles written by different important New Testament writers, other than Paul. They are grouped together as the general or catholic epistles. These terms tell us that the messages of these writings are for all.

Welcome dear listeners in Jesus name to our seventh talk in our series of our New Testament Survey. This is the first of two talks on the epistles of Paul. Our coverage of the book of Acts in the last talk showed us that Paul was the Apostle of Christ to the Gentiles. The Spirit used him to preach the Gospel and plant churches in many regions and cities of the Roman empire, ending with his arrival in Rome as a prisoner but thereby, bringing the Gospel there.

Welcome listeners to our sixth talk of this series of New Testament Survey. We come now to the book of Acts, which is the only history book of the New Testament. Luke, the author of the Gospel is also the author of Acts. He gives us a well-researched account of the events from key witnesses and participants, especially Paul which whom he has close ministry association. He is himself a participant in some of the events in Acts. I shall present a summarised account with highlights of key events. It covers from AD30 to AD62.
