Hello brothers and sisters, welcome to Workplace Strategy.

Let me tell you a story today. Once in the beautiful land of Taiwan, there lived a young man who had a beautiful dream. He had many stories to tell and his dream was to become a film maker to tell his stories. He tried very hard to pursue his dream but without any success as during that time, the Taiwanese film market was not doing well. What then could he do? He began to tell his stories through words and music. Before the ink was dry on the page, he had written more than a hundred different sets of lyrics and sent them to various companies. One month passed and a second month and then a third and ... he received only one reply. This was definitely not an easy road!

Finally after a lot of effort, he joined a music company. He participated in lyric writing competitions but never won any prizes . Sometimes, though he put a lot of thought and effort into his elaborately crafted songs, they were rejected. Painstakingly, he studied the lyrics of hundreds of songs and learned to use the narrative method to write lyrics. He constantly laboured over the rhyming patterns of the songs. After years of extensive research and experimentation, he created his own unique genre which gradually gained popularity. Famous singers began to use his lyrics. During his long and arduous journey, he built a large network and had access to resources in the film industry. Finally, 13 years after receiving his film director's license, he made his own film.

Someone asked about his creative experience, the lyricist just said, "Dreams can actually be turned." His journey was long. There were loops, some curves, many bends, even detours but finally, there came a turning point and his dream of being a film-maker came true. Some people  have said that behind a dream, there is always a driving force that will eventually push you to reach your final goal when you can’t seem to reach it through a straight path.
