Hello! Welcome to episode six of My Hand in His. David’s training on OM (Operation Mobilization) ship was a long process. Though he has the calling to serve the Lord, there were still many other things David must learn in life. And God intended to remove all the impurities inside David. Through working with other crews David finally resolved to submit himself to God heartily.

Despite God’s prohibition and warning of terrible consequences, the humans still chose to eat the fruit of the forbidden tree! What led to this choice and decision?

Genesis 3:1-7

¹ Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

Hello friends. In the last episode, David surrendered his life to God in response to His call. Then he prayed for God’s provision on food, travelling expenses and clothing. Immediately after he responded to His call, David experienced the overwhelming joy and peace of God flooded his heart.

Next, David was so determined with his decision - he sold all his books on management, marketing and sales to a used-book store. He was determined that there would be no turning back to his career. The move signified David’s will to follow Jesus.

Genesis 2:15-17 

¹⁵ The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. ¹⁶ And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; ¹⁷ but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

Hello friends, I’m glad to have you back with us again. David’s life testimony offered people a remarkable insight into the challenges that traditional Chinese believers struggle with when they try to live out their faith in relevant ways. As we continue his story, let us be encouraged by how wonderful our Heavenly Father prepared David’s path.

²⁶Then God said “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground. ²⁷So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Genesis 1:11-13

Hello and welcome to David’s life testimony. Last week, we shared David’s childhood in the village where no one called him by his given name. Family members and others called him Babi which is ‘pig’ in the Malay language and his mother later called him Lebbit instead of David. Then, we shared about an event that left a deep impression on him even until today - a pre-dawn visit to a temple. Today, let us continue on what David encountered in the temple and his life as a teenager.
