Hi friends, I am Angelie and thanks for tuning in to “Workplace Strategy Forum” once again.

The ‘Workplace Strategy Forum’ is a platform to provide answers to work or workplace related questions posed by our listeners. And we are inviting marketplace “gurus” and “Experts” to step into the show and give us professional views based on biblical principles. In the next sessions to come, our special speaker is Dr. Dr. Michelle from Singapore. For the better understanding of Dr. Dr. Michelle, we will continue to introduce her in this session.

At the workplace, Dr. Dr. Michelle is an environmental expert. She has worked in different organisations of various sizes for several decades. In church, Dr. Michelle is an experienced Sunday School teacher, where she helps brothers and sisters to answer their questions and problems in their faith journey as well as the challenges they face at their workplaces. To help others to understand Dr. Michelle better, we have arranged two episodes to introduce Dr. Michelle to everyone.

During our last program, we mentioned that Dr. Michelle relied on the Lord during her job changes, and trusted that God would lead her throughout the entire process. She also trusted that our heavenly father would give her the most appropriate job at the most appropriate time.  Moving on, we are going to share with you two moments from Dr. Michelle’s career, to see how God led her to deal with conflicts in the marketplace.

Our modern workplace is characterised by being a fast paced and having keen competition. In particular, we often encounter a top-down management style. As a result, the relationship between superiors and subordinates is becoming more tense and stressful. Hence, anger and emotions could at times over-rule. When confronted with such a situation, Dr. Michelle also felt uptight.  However, she constantly reminded herself that this was another moulding season in her life.
