Have you heard of the Gallup polls? The staff there do interviews and collect data on public opinion and human behaviour. Since the year 2000, they have studied employee engagement. Engagement is the amount of commitment and motivation that employees give to their companies. Twenty years later today, the figures are still similar: only about one-third of employees are willing to give of their best to their company while the remaining two-thirds, though they put in time, are reluctant to put in energy or passion.
