Dear Brothers and Sisters, Shalom.
Welcome to tune in to the program by GLOBAL REACHOUT. I am Angelie. This program is based on the workplace training course of GLOBAL JIREH entitled "Christ-centered Entrepreneurship”. This course was compiled by Pastor Tony TAY Mingxian to help brothers and sisters live out Christ in the workplace.
In today's talk, we will learn about the three definitions of the kingdom enterprise through Ephesians 4:24.
First we look at Ephesians 4:24, where it says: "... and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness."
Here we see that the image of God has the righteousness and holiness of the truth; and the kingdom enterprise, as an enterprise reflecting the image of God, should also have the righteousness and holiness of the truth. This requires Christian entrepreneurs to obey the management of the Holy Spirit, rely on the Holy Spirit to be able to live out Christ in the workplace. In the real business environment, business operators with and without the Holy Spirit are quite different, and there is a huge difference.
Isaiah 11:2 says: "The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him, the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord." The "spirit of wisdom" mentioned here is "prophetic; "the spirit of counsel and of might" belongs to the king; and "the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord" belongs to the priesthood.
In business operations, we first need wisdom and cleverness. Only with wisdom and cleverness can we have strategies. When implementing strategies, we also need ability. In other words, the operation of a kingdom enterprise needs to possess the three essences of the image of God: prophecy, kingship, and priesthood.
How to rely on the Holy Spirit to make enterprises possess the three essences of God's image?
Let's talk about the first essence of the kingdom enterprise: prophetic truth.
To make the business prophetic, the business vision must be aligned with the biblical truth. Visions from God will not go against God's truth, nor will they contradict themselves. For example, God will not give us a corporate vision that can provide employment opportunities for the poor, but in the end it will cause local residents to lose a healthy living environment. When we clearly understand the vision of the company, we can set out the country's purpose of the company, such as: providing economic resources to develop special children's ministry. Next, we must know our own identity according to God's revelation--who am I? What is my talent? Only by knowing ourselves, then we can have a clear position. For example, a brother clearly knows that his talent is to engage in medical cosmetology, he has always insisted on working hard in this direction, and he has already gained a certain reputation. It is extremely important to ensure that the vision, purpose, and brand of the company are aligned with our calling. This not only prevents us from facing an identity crisis, but also ensures that we are doing what God wants us to do. When we participate in God's plan, God will be responsible. We don't have to be afraid of lacking resources, because resources are chasing after visions.
Next, let's talk about the second essence of state enterprises: the establishment of priestly holiness.
Companies must build the characteristics of Christ, and only with the characteristics of Christ can they have the essence of holiness. When the company takes the heart of Christ as its heart--complete self-sacrifice, only for the sake of God's glory, and the company members work for the purpose of glorifying God. We will do things that can glorify God. We can have Christ living in us, and we will live out the holiness of Christ. Operators should build the characteristics of Christ through shepherding, and influence others through the establishment of relationships, so that participants can serve God with pure motives. Once the enterprise has holiness, the work environment will be full of motivation and vitality, and to a large extent, we can avoid a crisis of authority --holiness enables entrepreneurs to continue to be God's representatives on earth.
Finally, let us look at the third characteristic of kingdom enterprises: the righteousness of the king.
The mission of the enterprise is to implement the culture of heaven on the earth, so the institutional framework and management of the enterprise must meet the requirements of righteousness and justice. In the system and management, everyone uses their talents according to their gifts, time will not be wasted in red tape, and people can get reasonable returns. This means that we can manage the three major resources of talent, time and treasure; and a righteous company will not face a moral crisis.
Brothers and sisters, summarizing the above content, we can see that: a kingdom enterprise is a righteous and holy enterprise with truth; the vision of such enterprise is aligned with God’s truth, its characteristics are aligned with God’s holiness, and its system is aligned with God's righteousness.
At the end of the program, let us invite Ps. Tony TAY Meng Hiang, the founder of GLOBAL JIREH to pray for us.
