Angelie: Hi everyone, I am Angelie and welcome to this Global Reachout Programme on ‘Workplace Strategy’. Today, we are very glad to have invited a workplace ‘expert’ on air. He is Teacher Zhong, who has a vast experienced in technology and management. He was an academician at Peking University for a long time, and is a renowned specialist in training. He was acclaimed to be one of the top 100 lecturers in China several times. Presently, this ‘workplace expert’ is a pastor, and has a calling to minister to workplace Christians. In this episode, Teacher Zhong will share with us on the topic of our ‘God-given destiny’.

Teacher Zhong: Dear friends, I am very happy to meet all of you here on the air. I am Teacher Zhong. I used to be a management consultant and trainer, helping businesses to solve practical issues. Later, I had the opportunity to further my studies at the seminary. Upon graduation, I served in Business Fellowship. Today, I would like to share with everyone on how to find your destiny in God.

We often meet some brothers and sisters from church. One of them might say, “The more I work, the more despondent and perplexed I am. I don’t know how to go on working.” It is similar for some bosses in business. One of them lamented, “In the times that I don’t earn money, I think that fulfilment will come when I earn it. Today I have made some money, but I still remain sad.”

All these situations point to the fact that we haven’t found our God-given destinies in life.

What is ‘destiny’? In Jeremiah 1, it is written that ‘before you were born, I consecrated you.’ Therefore, when you entered this world, the Lord had already endowed you with spiritual gifts and created you to like some jobs and be good at certain tasks. This is the destiny that God has given you from the very beginning. As a result, we observe that many people enjoy doing things that they like. They don’t do it for money, aren’t affected by how others perceive them, and resolve not to be influenced by the values of others. The more they labour, the more joyful they are. In the process, their standards and abilities are raised inadvertently, so they become more distinguished in their profession and accomplish some achievements in life. Others admire and praise them. They find release in their spirits and their lives reveal the glory of God.
