Hello friends, welcome to Workplace Strategy, a program jointly launched by Global Reachout and Global Jireh. Very often, we hear brothers and sisters in the church ask, “Pastor, I am in a certain industry. I am worried that this work is too secular and not suitable in God's eyes. Please give me some advice.”

There are so many different professions, but which ones are in line with God's heart? Which ones are too secular and not suitable for Christians?

Psalm 133:1 states, “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” In the eyes of God, seeing His people living together in unity with His Spirit is so pleasant and good! Why? Because it paints a beautiful picture of the body of Christ. Every different part of the body is connected to Him. Ephesians 4:16 puts it delightfully, “From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” Each of us is unique. We each have different needs and preferences; we come from various backgrounds. These unique attributes, through the exchange of goods and services within our commercial society, create a chance for us to love each other. When everyone in the community strives for excellence in their respective roles, they can provide a variety of high-quality goods and/or services to others, and they can serve each other, meet each other's needs, and provide opportunities for each other's growth, thereby making the overall living environment of the community better.
