“You must present as the LORD's portion the best and holiest part of everything given to you.” – Nu 18:29
All what we have are gifts from God and these include our time, talents and treasure. We are called to be wise in using our time, faithful in deploying our talents and good with our treasure. (Matt 24:45; 25:21, 23) Our spiritual act of worship should be offering our body as a whole not in parts, which is holy and acceptable to God. (Ro 12:1) The most effective and efficient team is the team when all its members are giving their best to God.
Give God what is right and not what is left. God is not pleased with our offering that is left over. (Mal 1:6-14) Do you offer the best time of your life to serve God or wait till your retirement when you are not at your best? Do not wait; you can give God your best when you are at the peak of your vocation. Your work is an act of worship.
Give God your best not your second best. Have you discover, develop and deploy your talents and use them to serve God? “Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.” (Eph 5:17) God shapes you for a specific purpose and He expects you to make the best use of what He has given to you. When you attempt to do what you are not called to do, it is like driving a square peg into a round hole. To give God your best is to position yourself in a team according to your calling.
Lastly your treasure is your heart. “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matt 6:21) You need a good heart for a good attitude. It is your attitude that determines your altitude. Let us conclude this series on Unity and Team Building with our best offering to God by being a wise steward, a faithful servant and a good shepherd.
Let’s pray.
Lord, thank you for guiding me in writing this series of devotion on Unity and Team Building, may these devotions be a blessing to the nations. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

2. In your view, what does it mean to devote your entire being to God? How do you plan to practice this in your everyday work and personal life?
3. When every member of a team dedicates their best efforts to God, what positive changes do you believe will occur within the team, and why?
